Independent Mediators

Established in 2007, Independent Mediators is a leading civil and commercial mediation chambers comprising ten full-time mediators. Structured on the model of a barristers’ chambers, its members are self-employed but share a central administrative service to streamline the mediation process for clients. The team includes two senior commercial litigation and professional negligence KCs and seven former solicitors, collectively bringing over 200 years of mediation experience and having conducted more than 9,500 mediations globally.

Independent Mediators provides comprehensive administrative support including unified contact for all mediators, transparent documentation and fees, mediation agreements, scheduling, and substitute coverage when needed. No additional administration fees are charged beyond the mediator’s stated fee.

The mediators regularly travel across the UK and internationally, in addition to offering online mediations. Recognised among Europe’s foremost mediators, all members are ranked in Who’s Who Legal: Mediation 2024, with several named Global Elite Thought Leaders in EMEA. The firm was named Mediation Firm of the Year by Who’s Who Legal in 2019 and 2020. Its mediators have worked with parties from over 85 countries, including corporations, governments, public bodies, and group litigants.
