Top 10 US firm adopts the Legora platform firmwide and plan joint development of new AI tools

Global law firm White & Case has announced plans to roll out legal artificial intelligence software developed by legaltech company Legora across its international office network.

The firm said the technology will be deployed across all 43 of its offices, spanning 29 countries. The move forms part of what White & Case described as a strategic approach to artificial intelligence and innovation, combining partnerships with external technology providers and the development of internal solutions.

Alongside the firmwide rollout, White & Case and Legora will collaborate on the development of new products and services. This includes work on the recently launched Legora Portal, a platform designed to improve collaboration between law firms and in-house legal teams.

According to Legora, the portal provides in-house teams with a secure workspace that allows access to firm-specific expertise, supports the automation of repetitive legal workflows and integrates external counsel into day-to-day operations. The platform also enables law firms to build and share customised artificial intelligence workflows for tasks such as contract review, due diligence and legal drafting.

Dipen Sabharwal KC, a London-based arbitration partner and member of White & Case’s executive committee, said the partnership reflected the firm’s broader strategy around innovation. He said the firm was impressed by Legora’s pace of development, willingness to collaborate and ability to adapt its platform to meet the firm’s requirements.

Legora has grown rapidly since it was founded in 2023 and has become one of the most prominent legal technology start-ups in the market. In October, the company raised $150 million in a Series C funding round, valuing the business at $1.8 billion.

The partnership with White & Case follows other recent collaborations announced by Legora. In September, the company entered into a partnership with Deloitte Legal in the United Kingdom to offer its technology to legal departments and law firms. In South Africa, Webber Wentzel has adopted Legora as its anchor technology partner within its innovation lab.

White & Case said the agreement underlines its commitment to investing in technology that supports lawyers and clients while maintaining professional judgement and oversight as part of legal service delivery.
