Murdochs is a London-based law firm established in 1984, providing professional discipline and regulatory representation, advice, and support to firms and individual members of the legal professions across England and Wales. The practice is recognised for its expertise in solicitors’ professional discipline and regulation, with a core focus on representing firms and solicitors facing Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) investigations, preparing self-reports, and defending proceedings before the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal (SDT). The team is led by Andrew Blatt, who qualified in 1985 and serves on the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal’s User Group and the Committee of the Solicitors Assistance Scheme as an Executive Member. He is co-author of The Solicitor’s Handbook (2019, 2022, and 2024 editions) and sits on the Law Society’s Regulatory Processes Committee. Nick Trevette, qualified in 2004, is experienced in fraud investigations and specialises in voluntary practice closures.
