They act in contested probate, executorship, Inheritance Act proceedings, estate planning, and breach of trust cases. Members have represented HMRC in cases concerning various aspects of income and capital taxation and appear regularly in the Court of Protection, including property, affairs, and health and welfare cases, often instructed on behalf of the Official Solicitor.

The set has significant expertise in occupational pensions, including trustees’ duties and pension fund surplus disputes, and is active in professional negligence cases for both claimants and defendants. Its land law practice covers disputes relating to conveyancing, land registration, easements, restrictive covenants, mortgages, trespass, misrepresentation, mistake, and undue influence. Landlord and tenant work includes lease creation, renewal and termination, remedies for non-payment of rent, commercial and agricultural tenancies, residential tenancies, and long leaseholds.
