Round includes 12 partner appointments alongside senior and associate promotions
National firm Irwin Mitchell has announced a round of 100 promotions across the business, including new partner and equity partner appointments.
The promotions include six new fixed-share partners and six new full equity partners, spanning areas such as commercial dispute resolution, medical negligence, family law, real estate, private client advisory and serious injury.
All six of the fixed-share partner promotions are women, while the wider partner cohort reflects a mix of practice areas across the firm.
In total, 16 colleagues have been promoted to legal director, 31 to senior associate and 41 to associate roles.
The firm said that three quarters of those promoted to partner and equity partner trained at Irwin Mitchell, highlighting its focus on internal progression and long-term career development.
The promotions will take effect from 1 May.
Group chief executive Craig Marshall said the promotions recognised “years of dedication, leadership and contribution”, adding that he was pleased to see so many lawyers who began their careers at the firm progressing into senior roles.
The announcement comes as part of the firm’s annual promotions round, with appointments made across a range of practice areas and offices.
