Global law firm reports record revenue and profit growth before combining with Perkins Coie
Ashurst has reported record financial results for the year ending 30 April 2026, marking its tenth consecutive year of revenue growth ahead of its planned combination with Perkins Coie. The global law firm announced revenue of £1.152 billion for the 2025/26 financial year, an increase of 11% from £1.034 billion in the previous year. Profit per equity partner rose by 15% to £1.592 million.
The results represent the final full financial year before Ashurst combines with Perkins Coie to create Ashurst Perkins Coie. The firm said it has now achieved ten consecutive years of significant revenue growth, with profit per equity partner recording average annual growth of 10% over the period.
Global CEO Paul Jenkins said the performance reflected both client trust and the quality of the firm’s people. He also highlighted continued investment in innovation and technology, noting that usage of the firm’s AI and technology-enabled services increased by more than 50% during the year.
The firm reported double-digit revenue growth across all major regions. Revenue increased by 33% in the Middle East, 18% in the United States, 17% in Continental Europe, 14% in Asia, and 12% in the United Kingdom. France recorded growth of 32%, Germany 23% and Italy 17%, while Hong Kong and Singapore achieved growth of 22% and 21% respectively.
In the UK, growth was driven in part by the Disputes, Investigations & Advisory division, which expanded by 21%. Demand for energy transition advice also remained strong, with Projects & Energy Transition performing particularly well in the United States, France, the UK, and the Middle East.
Corporate Transactions recorded global growth of 15%, supported by increases in France, Germany, the UK, Australia, Mainland China, and Hong Kong. The firm’s Finance, Funds & Restructuring division also grew by 15%, while its Financial Regulatory practice achieved double-digit growth in both France and the UK.
Ashurst Advance, the firm’s NewLaw division, delivered an 11% increase in global revenue, including more than 50% growth in AI and technology-enabled services. The firm said it continued to receive recognition for its work in AI and innovation, including an award for innovation in strategic direction at the FT Innovative Lawyer Awards.
During the year, Ashurst also opened its first office in Africa, in Casablanca, and increased its commitment to pro bono work, recording a 12% rise in time contributed.
Global Chair Karen Davies said the results reflected strong performance across all regions and thanked clients and staff for their contribution. Looking ahead, Jenkins said the firm was well positioned for its next chapter as Ashurst Perkins Coie, supported by a strong financial foundation and a focus on financial services, energy and infrastructure, and technology.
