SRA restricts solicitor’s practice with new conditions on certificate

SRA imposes conditions restricting solicitor’s role following regulatory decision

The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) has imposed conditions on the practising certificate of Nicholas Nikola Stojanovic, following a regulatory decision relating to his practice.

The decision, made on 30 March 2026 and published on 30 April 2026, places specific restrictions on Mr Stojanovic’s ability to practise. Solicitors Regulation Authority confirmed that his practising certificate for the 2025/2026 period is now subject to conditions.

Under the terms imposed, Mr Stojanovic must not act as a manager or owner of an authorised body. In addition, he may only practise as a solicitor in an employed role that has been approved by the SRA.

At the time of the matters giving rise to the decision, Mr Stojanovic was practising at Ramsdens Solicitors LLP, based at Oakley House, Hungerford Road, Huddersfield.

The SRA confirmed that the outcome was reached through its own decision-making process. In setting out the basis for the conditions, the regulator stated that it was satisfied that none of the statutory purposes or regulatory objectives required the imposition of practising certificate conditions in the public interest.

The conditions form part of the SRA’s wider regulatory framework, which governs how solicitors practise and ensures that standards are maintained across the profession.
