In the corporate and transactional field, the London team has extensive experience under both English and New York law. Approximately 30% of its lawyers hold U.S. qualifications, more than 75% are English law-qualified, and around 10% are dual-qualified in both jurisdictions. Debevoise & Plimpton LLP is also known for its market-leading fund formation practice, in addition to advising on major public listings, high-profile M&A transactions, and complex acquisition financings.

The disputes resolution practice is chaired by former UK Attorney General Lord Goldsmith KC and is recognised for its advocacy-led approach. The team handles international commercial arbitration, domestic and cross-border litigation, public international law, white-collar crime, and investigations. Its work spans legal systems, languages, and industries worldwide.

London-based lawyers regularly collaborate with other Debevoise offices to provide integrated advice on UK, European, and global matters. The office also has a strong focus on emerging markets, including India, the Middle East, Africa, Russia/CIS, and Latin America.
